“PFA surety bond payout follow-up: $75K reimbursement owed, payment plan proposal requested.”
Reasoning: PFA Protects is a surety bond vendor with an outstanding financial obligation; Kelvin committed to submitting a payment plan proposal during the call, requiring action within 24h.
Good afternoon, Kalvin and Candy,
Thank you for your call today, it was very nice speaking to you both. As discussed, you intend to resolve the outstanding balance of $75,000.00 owed to PFA in connection with the bond payout. Once I have the correct documentation, I will provide it to you to complete and return.
Thank you,

Good morning, Kelvin,
Thank you for your call into our office a few minutes ago; it was a pleasure speaking with you. As we discussed on the phone, the full $75,000 available under the bond has been exhausted and payout was conducted on a pro-rata basis with all valid claimants receiving an equal percentage of their claim amount. As the bond has been exhausted, no further claims can be paid from the bond.
However, as the brokerage did not have any funds on deposit at the time of payout, reimbursement of the full $75,000 is owed to PFA. You advised you would be reviewing the finances of the company and would respond with a payment plan proposal.
Please include the following in your proposal:
* The monthly amount that would be feasible for your company at this time
* The day of the month you would like payment to be processed
* Your preferred recurring payment method (credit card, debit card, or ACH)
Alternatively, depending on the funds available to your company at the moment, we can also discuss a one-time lump sum settlement. Please let me know if you would like to explore this option.

Good afternoon,
I am following up regarding the claims that have been paid from the bond of MC #1268210; I have attached a list of the claims for your review. I was able to speak with Karamjeet earlier today, who advised he is no longer at Load Karma Inc and Vivek or Kelvin would be the parties to contact regarding a repayment plan moving forward. I attempted to call you at the phone number provided; however, I was unable to speak with you and had to leave a message. We had attempted to set up a repayment plan with Karamjeet on multiple occasions in advance of the payout of the bond; however, we were unsuccessful.
Please be advised that as PFA has now made payment on your behalf on the attached list of claims, we will look to we will look to Load Karma Inc and you personally for reimbursement of its loss, costs, and attorney’s fees pursuant to the Supplementary Agreement you executed in the application for the bond. Should we have to send the file out for collections, it will add additional collection costs and attorney’s fees along with reporting to all major credit bureaus. We would like to avoid this action by entering into a repayment agreement. Please note that we will work with your current financial situation and establish a monthly amount that is feasible to your financial situation.
Please contact us no later than end of day, Monday, 06/29/2026, to arrange a payment plan. Failure to do so will result in your account being turned over to collections.

Good afternoon,
We have received and reviewed your emails below and have been able to confirm most payments. However, claim 240229 filed by GG Cargo Group Inc , we need additional information. Back in December, Baxter and Baily forwarded an email strand that indicated that the factoring company (Saint John Capital) was the party that was paid for the load. We spoke with Saint John Capital and they stated no funds were received. Per the email that you sent yesterday, it was advised that payment went to Baxter and Baily. We have not been provided a remittance for this claim. Please confirm who was paid and provide the remittance so that we may follow up with the factor and/or third party accordingly
Claim 241809 filed by GUR NANAK FREIGHT INC MC 00081565
* Load 225656 for $360 – you have provided payment details. We will follow up with the claimant to confirm the funds received.
Claim 243276 filed by KAD Group Logistics and Alexander Winton and Associates - The carrier confirmed they did receive your payment for $1300 for load 225933. Load 226199 for $1950 has not been paid and will be included in the pool for the payout.
The below carrier filed a claim that we have accepted and we have sent an email to complete the claim verification form, the final step in the claims process in which a carrier confirms how much they are owed and if they have been paid by any party. Please review below and confirm if the carrier has been paid for the loads that were filed for
Claim 242269 filed by AWT Cartage Inc MC 00760839
* The carrier has filed for loads 225955 for $1100 and 226303 for $1150. In review of the documents, the rate confirmation indicates that the carrier was to pick up containers from a railyard in IL and deliver to a location in WI. Per the documents, the tendered load appears to be an empty container that is being delivered to be loaded. Additionally, the carrier has provided documents to indicate that the containers were returned back to the railyard for shipment to the final destination. Can you please confirm if these loads were tendered as round trip? Please clarify the load documents and if you need additional documentation, we can send it for your review.

Good afternoon, Karamjeet,
Thank you for speaking with me today. I have attached a copy of the current pending claims report for your review. If you show that payments have been issued, please provide the proof of payments, such as payment remittance with transaction numbers or copies of cashed check (front and back) so that we may update the file and follow up with the claimants. Once payments are confirmed as being received, we can close the claims.
Please be advised that when PFA makes payment on your behalf on any claim, we will look to we will look to Load Karma Inc, and you personally for reimbursement of its loss, costs, and attorney’s fees pursuant to the Supplementary Agreement you executed in the application for the bond. Should we have to send the file out for collections, it will add additional collection costs and attorney’s fees along with reporting to all major credit bureaus. We would like to avoid this action by entering into a repayment agreement. Typically, a broker will put a credit card on file, and we will process an agreed amount each month until paid in full. Please note that we will work with your current financial situation and establish a monthly amount that is feasible for your financial situation. As stated, there is no fee or interest for this payment plan.
As discussed, the bond is $75,000.00 and this is the maximum amount PFA can issue. Please know this does not relieve the brokerage of its responsibility to pay the carrier companies in full and they may use other avenues for payment if the bond were pay out pro-rata.
If you have any questions, please contact me at the number below. If I am not available, please ask to speak with Lisa or Lydia for assistance.
Thank you,
Liza Childers

Subject: RE: URGENT: Action Required to Prevent Surety Bond Cancellation MC 1268210
Importance: High
Good morning, Karam,
While I appreciate the information that you have processed around $400,000 worth of AP, we are still continuing to receive new claims against the brokerage. While I do show that there is approximately $68k worth of payment details you have provided to us that we are currently pending confirmation from the carriers that the funds have been received, there is still an outstanding balance of $28k for which we have not been provided payment details.
As the brokerage has had consistent claim activity and we have not had a period where all claims against the brokerage were resolved, there has not yet been a point where MC #01268210 has been eligible for reinstatement. As such, cancellation of the bond went into effect with the FMCSA on 12/7/2025 as previously advised. Should the brokerage be able to resolve all claim activity in the future, reinstatement may be able to be considered at that time. However, if reinstatement is later approved, there will be a gap in coverage.
If you have made any additional payments towards these claims, please provide proof of a cleared payment so we may apply the payment towards the open balance. We strongly recommend continuing to issue any further payments via ACH/wire or other electronic payment to ensure receipt of funds can be verified. If we do not receive proof of payment from the brokerage and the carrier does not acknowledge the funds, we will not be able to remove the balance from the amount to be paid from the bond, and the brokerage will still be liable to reimburse PFA for these amounts.
Regarding any payout of the bond, the maximum amount Pacific Financial Association will pay out is $75,000. If the amounts of valid claims exceed the $75,000, each claimant would be paid out on a pro-rata basis, with each claimant receiving an equal percentage of the $75,000. With a BMC 84 surety bond, if the full $75,000 is not paid out, we have to allow 18 months from the cancellation date (12/07/2025) for any other valid claim to come in against the bond, or until the full amount has been exhausted. As such, additional payouts could occur. Please confirm a valid email for you that will continue to work so that we may follow up with you, should that happen.
Please be advised that if PFA makes payment on your behalf on any claim, we will look to we will look to Load Karma and you personally for reimbursement of its loss, costs, and attorney’s fees pursuant to the Supplementary Agreement you executed in the application for the bond. Should we have to send the file out for collections, it will add additional collection costs and attorney’s fees along with reporting to all major credit bureaus. We would like to avoid this action by entering into a repayment agreement if you are unable to resolve claims prior to the payout of the bond. Please note that we will work with your current financial situation and establish a monthly amount that is feasible to your financial situation.

Subject: RE: URGENT: Action Required to Prevent Surety Bond Cancellation MC 1268210
Good afternoon, Karam,
Thank you for the clarification regarding which MC you are wanting to be reinstated. While I understand the brokerage has provided payment details on a large volume of claims, which is appreciated and does help expedite the claim resolution process, we must also be able to confirm with the payment recipients that the funds were received and cleared their accounts prior to closing the claims.
Additionally, we are continuing to get a significant number of new filings against the brokerage on a daily basis for loads that are past-due that must be resolved prior to the brokerage being eligible for reinstatement consideration. While I understand this process is time consuming and can be frustrating, as a surety we have a fiduciary duty to ensure carriers have received payment for their services in accordance with their contract with your company. I show that just today we have received five additional claim requests in addition to the list attached above.
So we may best advise on next steps, can you please advise of the number and total dollar amount of unpaid invoices that are past-due as of today?

Hi Lydia
I am talking about Load Karma only MC 1268210. We are getting claims on Load Karma which are being paid on daily basis. I believe all bonds are cleared till date and if there is any, payment proof shall be shared soon. What do you need in financial statements of Load Karma to reconsider the removal?
I also got an update from accounting that carriers have confirmed the payments in their account but claims still show in processing on the portal. Any reason why claims are not being closed??

Subject: RE: URGENT: Action Required to Prevent Surety Bond Cancellation MC 1268210
Good morning, Karam,
As we discussed last week, cancellation of the bond for MC #01443386 was requested due to the overlapping ownership with Load Karma MC #01268210, which was cancelled due to claims. On our call last week, you had mentioned that ownership for MC #01443386 was shared between yourself and others, and that there is no financial overlap with MC #01268210. You were going to submit documentation of the two companies’ financial records, as well as proof of ownership/company incorporation documents for our review. However, I do not show that we have received this information.
Absent further documentation regarding the ownership/financials, we will be unable to consider reinstatement of either surety until all claims against MC #01268210 are resolved.

Subject: URGENT: Action Required to Prevent Surety Bond Cancellation MC 1268210
Hi Team,
I’m reaching out urgently regarding the surety bond scheduled for pending cancellation on 12/07/2025. We have fully cleared all outstanding claims, and my team will be providing proof of payment on every related email for complete transparency.
As discussed with Diane, I am prepared to share the company’s Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement immediately to demonstrate our current financial strength. She also advised that submitting a security deposit may allow the underwriters to reassess and keep the bond active. We are ready to move forward with this option if it supports the review process.
It is critical for us to maintain an active bond as we are continuing to pay carriers daily and keeping all operational commitments current. Please advise on the fastest possible path to prevent cancellation and ensure uninterrupted business operations.
Your prompt assistance on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Karam Singh
