Kelvin: Here's the short version of my reaction/translation of Ms. Kapoor's email: She has an obvious conflict of interest but does not care, because her true loyalty is to the Singh brothers, and you need to get a different lawyer (but not me). Longer version: She confirms that she simultaneously representing Load Karma and Load Konnect, which have received separate demands from MSI, and she won't disclose how much MSI demands from Load Konnect, or what Load Konnect may offer. But she knows what MSI has separately demanded of both companies to compensate MSI for the same claim. So, she may be asked to cause Load Karma to offer more money in order to reduce the demand against Load Konnect. Or, the other way around-- because Load Konnect set up this whole bribery scheme to cheat MSI, then that company should pay more to MSI. Either way, it is a conflict of interest for this lawyer to be representing both companies adverse MSI, even putting aside that in about five days Load Karma is going to directly accuse Load Konnect and its owners of cheating Load Karma. I do not represent Load Karma, but you might consider demanding that any settlement offer to MSI must be bundled with a disclosed offer from Load Konnect. The amounts are beyond my billet, but I see no reason why Load Karma should agree to pay a single dollar if it is not at least matched by Load Konnect.
